SLOVENIA, September 14 - The main topic of discussion was the key challenges the European Union is currently facing, in particular strengthening European competitiveness, reducing administrative burdens, and assuring a stable and predictable environment for the European economy.

After the meeting, President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola said that she was pleased to have met with Slovenia's Prime Minister. "It's Europe's duty to make the lives of the people and the enterprises easier. As competitiveness is one of our priorities, we will continue to take the necessary decisions to ensure we take full advantage of our single market, cut red tape and provide better predictability for our industries," she wrote.

The Prime Minister and the President of the European Parliament also highlighted the importance of a strong, resilient and competitive European Union capable of effectively responding to internal and external challenges while maintaining its impact in a rapidly changing international environment.
